When you do a cross section of an exploded view it takes the cross-section first, then performs the exploded state.
Normally you might not need this, but if you have mechanism items shown in multiple positions you can use snapshots to help create drawing views in each position.
It works in the model as expected, but in the drawing it will hide any components cut by the cross section before moving them into place.
In short, the drawing should match the model. The model should match the drawing.
Exists as an enhancement SPR 2105078
We need this function urgent!
We want to switch from old practice "part family" to new function "snapshot" for using assembly states as view states in drawings.
For information, SPR Number has changed : now 2861780
And I have created an idea to manage this need with simplify representation and constraints sets...https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Ideas/PTC-CONSTRAINT-SET-IN-SIMPLIFY-REPRESENTATION/idi-p/494317#M9962
I think there are 4 SPR numbers corresponding to this issue...
2861462 / 2105078
2861780 / 2125348
