1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders.
Electrical Energy Sector, designing low-voltage switchgear. Product Design Engineer. Large construction firms, Direct Network Operators.

2. What version of Creo Parametric are you currently running?
6.0.6.0

3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.
Working in a drawing file, blanking out components to give a better look at operational components and fixing points in a general arrangement drawing to send to customers. I would like to speed up the time it takes to select multiple components which are in a linear pattern, and therefore occupy the same space on the orthographic view of the assembly. The components to hide are transparent plastic screens which cause detail behind them to be blanked out (We do not use hidden lines) and there can be upwards of 20 screens to hide, which countless components sandwiched between each one. Right clicking through the view is time-consuming, and the outlines of the selected components do not give enough information to accurately select all of the required components. The next best solution is the Pick From List, as the component names are easily recognizable in the list. This list cannot be used to select multiple components however, and the only solution to this is to select one component, OK the list, then right click the same point on the drawing, open the list again, OK the list, open the list again, many many times. Adding the seemingly overlooked functionality to select multiple components in the list in one operation would be an incredible time saver.

4. What is the use case for your organization?
Speeding up the repetitive task of selection patterned components in a list.

5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
Less time spent on repetitive tasks, saving days of productivity per year.
