Default Left Justification for Aux View notes

When creating a drawing note in ASME environment all of the notes are 'left justified' by default except when an Auxiliary View is created on the drawing. Create a Detail View on the drawing and the view's note is 'right justified'. Why would all other notes be 'left justified' and the Aux View notes be 'right justified'? Is this done to adhere to some standard? I could not find any standard reference indicating that 'right justified' should be a default behavior.

When this was brought to my attention by one of my peers I researched the topic and opened TS case 12715505 and was directed to create a product idea. TS confirmed that all other notes created in the drawing default to 'left justification' and the aux view note defaults to 'right justification'.

I believe the default position and justification of view labels derives from the detail setup option 'default_view_label_placement'.  They can on the top or bottom of the view, on the left or right or centered on the center of the top or bottom edge.  So when it is set to 'bottom_left', the note is placed on the bottom, halfway along right to left, and right-justified.

Does that explain matters sufficiently, or are you perhaps looking for additional flexibility in specifying the default view label?

I opened the TS case because the Detail View note was displaying 'right justifed' and support pretty much said that's the way it is. No guidance on the Detail setup file. After reading your comment I wanted to test the option. Here's what I've learned. The default OOTB detail option is "bottom_left". With this setting the view note properties are "right justfied". Changing the detail option to 'bottom_center' results in the view note being "centered". Changing the option to "bottom_right" results in the view note being "left justifed". YEA ! I can make a user happy until they disagree with the Note position. I'm still of the opinion that "bottom_left" and "bottom_right" should result in the note being "left justified".
