Deleting a family table breaks the appearance for the standalone/old instances now don't have color

There are situations where we have a family table with instances, that need to be broken. The old instances become standalone parts. However, when this is done, any coloring that was created in the generic does not get transferred over to the new standalone models. Therefore, all colors for these ex-instances are gone! Please rework the functionality such that all of the coloring does not get lost, requiring each instance to be redone! See PTC ticket 14857942.
