Drawings bring back "Use Model in Tree" from Wildfire 4.0

Drawings bring back "Use Model in Tree" from Wildfire 4.0

In Wildfire 4.0 "Drawings" you could click in a view "right click" and pick use in model tree. Then go to the model and pick a plane or coordinate system to dimension to. In Creo 2.0  this option has been removed. You can display planes or coordinate systems and try to pick which one you need from the drawing view but if you have a large assembly it is very hard to pick the correct one.

This function is back in creo 2.0 not sure what date code it came back. But now you select view RMB select Add/Set Drawing Model, this will put the view model in the tree. Also there is a model icon next to the tool icon in the tree that you can set the model

set/add drawing model is not the same as use in model tree.

Use in model tree would allow you select a point (or other features) in the model tree while creating a dimension. If there are 100's or 1000's of points or other features in a model, sometimes it is easier to select  a specific one in the model tree.

This can be a very helpful function, especially when trying to blank assemblies in a detail view for better clairity.
