I am trying to conduct an animation where a cable dynamically follows the connected connectors which are moving based on different constraints that I apply.
So far, I cannot find a way to see the dynamic change on the cable shape due to the movement of the connectors.
Can you please have a look on this idea and let me know how can this be applied to Creo Parametric?
This should be possible with the multibodies approach. One first body is static, and defines the start of the wire, for assembly. Another body, references an external copmonent, and constitutes the other end of the wire. Make a guided spline with internal or external points as constraints, and on the fly draw with the graphics card the wire, giving it thickness, animating the spline points (constratins) on the CPU.Might need to be caution to guarantee the spline length for the wire keeps aproximatelu the same length, and avoids too sharp kinks.
This idea is also usefull to simulate hoses in assemblies with mechanism moving parts.
