To avoid or find out the use of 3D Creo-Models with certain Lifecyclestates (e.g. PROTOTYPE, INVALID) in large assemblies it would be fine when Modelcheck could check the content of a locked parameter that comes from Windchill.
Unfortunately Modelcheck is unable to check the content of locked Windchill-Parameters like PTC_WM_LIFECYCLE_STATE in the direct way.
Of course it is possible to go the indirect way and map the content of the locked Windchill-Parameter via a relation to a new Creo-Parameter. The new Creo-Parameter can be checked by ModelCheck and everthing workes fine. The problem is that the relation has to be added in every part, subassembly and assembly.
It would be fine to get the Lifecycle information direct from the locked Windchill-Parameter. In that case it would be sufficient just to show the content of the parameter (read-only). Changing the content should be functionality of Windchill as it is at the moment.
