It's may be time for PTC to enhance the Pro/CMM application to allow for 5 axes probing.  Renishaw has developed the PH20 infinite positions probe allowing for 5 axes movement. PTC already supports 5 axes movement in Creo Manufacturing and it should not be too difficult to keep Pro/CMM up to date by adding this tool path style to the CMM application.
