When Model Player is performed on an assembly including Pro/Cabling parts, the cabling part will me marked as modified despite that no modification has been done to the part.
This behavior is known by PTC and several cases has been filed regarding this issue during the past years, i.e C10462913.
PTC refers to TAN 114464 and explains as follows:
"Based on R&D feedback in Wildfire they have added a few feature types
that they can check after regeneration to see if they have caused any
database changes. These feature types include most datum features (datum
planes, points, csys, and curves) and component features.
For all other features, if the feature regenerates they have to assume
that the database has changed and mark the model as modified."
and
"From R&D answer when a Regeneration is forced they estimate that
potentially the model is changed.
After for some feature types (most datum features (datum planes, points,
csys, and curves) and common ones) they added some mechanism to check
after regeneration to see if they have indeed caused any database
changes in the model.
This was not done for Solid pipe parts but it is completed for the
simple parts with standard features (basically it is regenerated but
they use the flags to understand if it is real modification or not).
So they improved the behavior for classic mode in Wildfire +, but have
not yet completed other areas "
An enhancement is requested so the regeneration behavior will be the same for all areas.
