Enhanced Shrinkwrap - Just External Geom

Hello,

The current implementation of the shrinkwrap tool does not allow for the creation of a solid model of just the external geometry.  We are required to send our customers "Outline" models that they can use in their assemblies but our customer does not have the rights to see the inner features of the outline.

I would like the shrinkwrap tool to have an additional option to just capture external geometry.  Meaning that when cross-sectioned the model is actually solid inside with absolutely no internal features but all external geometry including color (if possible), mass props, and center of gravity for the outline are preserved.

I agree.

The workaround we adopted is to create the shrinkwrap starting from a simplified representation with  critical components completely “obscured”, I mean solid.

This is a time-consuming procedure that mainly depends on the user choices.
