Hello,
I have a small enhancement request to make regarding Creo Elements Direct Modelling which deals with the quality of an engineering drawing. This particular issue is to do with cross sectioning and keeping the part colour when making the cross section from a view of a drawing.
For instance when I create a cross sectional view from a drawing it automatically comes up with the section shaded in all the same block colour as shown. There is no option to bring it to the original shading.
However for presentation purposes I would like to be able to create a section view with the colour of the parts. As shown.
In order to produce a section as such - I would have to go through a long winded path of creating a section of the model, hiding half of the features and creating a config. I can then create a view in the drawing bring the config in and manually hatch the faces.
All this is unnecessary if you just want your drawings to be more aesthetically pleasing and easier to read.
It would be a good feature to include an option to use the shade you had originally selected for the part in a section view. This would save unnecessary model tree duplicating when creating a section and ‘save on clicks’.
Thanks for taking some time to look this over.
