We create a layer HIDDEN_DIMS to put dimensions on that we don't want displayed in the drawing. A rule is used to put dimensions with zero value on this layer. There currently is no way to identify if a dimension is a baseline dim or not. We do not want baseline dimensions on this layer because they do need to be displayed. We hide this layer in the drawing. Currently must manually exclude each baseline dimension from this layer.
We use re-use our models for different molds over & over. Relations help us make reuse of the models so from one mold to the next I don't know if a dimension should be displayed on the drawing or not. That's where the rules come into play. A more expanded rule set can help us reduce the work required for drawing cleanup.
Please help users use the software more productively.
