Fix BOM Indecies for all Representations

Fix BOM Indecies for all Representations

I'd like to show an assembly in sequence as it would be manufactured, with each new sheet adding a new BOM item and it's corresponding Balloon.  This is done by showing a different Simplified Rep on each view/page (Step 1, 2, 3...)

Rather than fixing the indices (Item Number) for each part on every Simp. Rep., can I fix the Index for items across all Simplified Reps?

In addition, can there be a way to add the respective balloons without needing to include a hidden BOM on each sheet?

Duplicate of this idea:

Allow BOM Ballons from Master Rep Repeat Region to be displayed on Simplified Reps

Read through the comments for work arounds

This is worded like a question rather than an enhancement.

There is not a good method for simplified reps and BOM balloons.

You may look into Pro/Process for Assembly. It's specifically for manufacturing sequence drawings.

Thanks. I see that now.

Looks like I'm asking for a solution the Work Around #1.

Stephen,

I looked Pro/Process up.  Forgive me, but doesn't that look more time consuming than fixing indices for all Reps?

It's been years since I have used Pro/Process but from what I remember, it lets you take the engineering model and make process drawings from those without modifying the engineering models. I just don't remember any of the details except that is was really simple to use.

Sorry for being vague. If you've already done all the work in the engineering model, I wouldn't go a different direction at this point.
