Please make "fix index" work reliably. This would include retaining a BOM bln (at least most of the time) when using the replace command in the assembly, as well as working with flexible components.
Fixing the index is a great idea to quicker match blns to their line in an automated BOM, and vice versa. I like the idea, but it has been implemented in a VERY error prone way.

PTC said this is intended functionality because they don't know how to handle situations where there is a quantity >1 for the item being replaced but a simple way to handle this might be to have it do a clean replace when qty is 1 and then if qty >1, then the replacing component will get a new number appended to the bottom of the table, and the remaining component(s) will retain the original number.
