Creo 4.0 introduced support for the AMF file format. It left out the most important feature of that format however. PTC says the current functionality is working to spec. This idea is to support the full implementation of curved triangle. This feature more accurately represents curved surfaces:

I am aware you can reduce the size of the tessellated surfaces. Curved surfaces would reduce file sizes while at the same time more accurately represent the original geometry.
