Generative Design - Mass on Point

Generative Design - Mass on Point

1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders.

In general the environment is a mechanical design and modeling for defense industry.

My role is CAD engineer responsible for Creo modeling, Creo simulation, Creo mechanism, Generative and Lattice Design.

2. What version of Creo Parametric are you currently running?

We’re running currently 8.0.5 Creo Parametric version.
3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.

In Creo Simulate there is a capability of adding Mass on point related to model, representing unmeshed geometry, participating in simulation only as local mass. Same capability is needed in Generative Design setup

4. What is the use case for your organization?

The problem I’m trying to solve is adding a point with local mass, related to model surface, this mass should represent unmodeled mass in Generative Design
5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?

The business value would be more capabilities in Generative Design, resulting in advanced, highly technological product.
