We often turned off datum display since many planes are required to be created in modeling and also all the parts have some default planes. However When we select the plane in model tree, if the planes will highlight in the model graphical section too, then turning on datum display is not required. It would be helpful.

this would be a great idea, it would improve and simplify the datum selection process. it would also be useful when in an assembly and setting up placement option. if you hovered over the plane you want to use in the tree and it dynamically highlighted in the graphics window. this would allow quick and easy selection of the correct plane without needing to have all planes / datums shown.
