With DIR_REPORT defined in the Modelcheck settings, if the directory specified does not exist, an error is logged in mc_err.log stating that it did not have write permission to the location, and it instead dumps all the html and png files into the working directory.

 

Idea:  If the specified location does not exist, create it automatically

I find this request to be a waste of PTC resources.

It is a one time setup so creating the directory that is used by ModelCheck for DIR_REPORTS can be created by the user when they define the setting in ModelCheck. Since it does not get changed, why add the complexity of checking for the folder existence and then creating it.
