ProMechModel is Creo Simulate geometry model which is used for CAE simulation.Hence I expect edge should be created where two surfaces interferes. This will help us to create conforming mesh across edge where two surfaces interferes if edge gets created. In other words mesh will preserve that edge.

 

I have attachedwhere bolt surface interferes with plate surface and edge do not get created where interference occur.
