It is possible to wrap a spline curve that is on a work plane onto a cylindrical surface using the function "Wrap on Surf".

However, it is currently not possible to go the other way and to wrap a spline curve that lies on a cylindrical surface back onto a work plane.

This should be made possible.

Workaround: None found. Attempts to use sheet metal functions were unsuccessful.
