Locate a failed component from the regenaration manager window to model tree directly.

Locate a failed component from the regenaration manager window to model tree directly.

When we see some error and the regenration status is red, we clicked on it and easly find the components which are failed in regernation. However we can not locate it in model tree from there. We have to note the component name and need to use look up tool to locate it in model tree. If any option can be introduced like right clicking the model in regeneration manager window and then locate in model tree, we can easly find the failed component and work on that. This option will be useful when handling large assemblies, otherwise it takes time to find the failed component among several components.

Are there any updates on this topic? It is still an issue for my customer especially as mentioned by jayanta if it comes to handling large assemblies. Would be great if PTC could offer a nice and smart solution.

Not exactly what you are requesting but useful none the less...at the top of the model tree (Creo 2.0 by the way) you can select to search for and highlight a failed items.  It will expand any sub-assemblies with failed items and highlights them in red...really really useful.

Neal.

Neal,

used this feature once upon a time but I forgot it. Thanx a lot for your reminder. It´s exactly what the customer is looking for.
