Ability to plot/print multi-sheets drawing based on the respective format size.
When printing all drawing sheets at once the current page's format size is used for all sheets.
Needs to get the plotter to adapt at each (A3, A4, etc)
ASME Y14.1 Drawing Sheet Size and Format dictates otherwise (all sheets of a multi-sheet drawing should be the same size)
I no longer have access to ISO standards but I am fairly sure it is the same.
There is no requirement that all sheets be the same size.
The cover sheet may be smaller than the other sheets in a multi-sheet drawing set.
We used to do a C-size sheet 1 on top of roll drawings (J-size) to make it easier to convey the BOM information.

1.3.1 Mandatory, Nonmandatory, Guidance, and Optional Words
The words “shall” and “will” establish a mandatory requirement.
The words “should” and “may” establish a recommended practice.
The words “typical,” “example,” “for reference,” or the Latin abbreviation “e.g.” indicate suggestions given for guidance only.
The word “or” used in conjunction with a mandatory requirement or a recommended practice indicates that there are two or more options for complying with
the stated requirement or practice.
Same size sheet is only recommended. The first sheet being smaller is allowed.
The problem with this request is that the software was to insert plotter code for each sheet to setup the formatting, making the plot file generation time even longer as it has to calculate more settings to pass to the plotter.
The key word that you highlighted is "Should be" which means they don't have to be - therefor the product request.
