Wow, I can't believe something like this needed a product idea to get implemented. The didn't say it but the dreaded "intended functionality" comes to mind. We intended to make it non-functional.
It worked perfectly fine in Creo 2. Why did they have to screw it up?
I am struggling with the exact same issue. I also run 2-D and 3-D with a black background. I've been using Pro/E since version 17 in UNIX and this is the first time I have actually seen the print routine broken. To say that it now sucks, would be an understatement. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with this build.
Just moved on to Creo3. Can't get the pcf's I was using with creo2 to work. Meaning no pen table files I had set up either. What a fiasco. Out of all things they had to go and mess with the print routines.
And this preview sucks big time. Can't see anything.
I also notice that I now have to select "custom scale" and set is to 94% before sending my "D" size print which I'm printing on a "B" size paper. This was NEVER an issue before Creo3.0
