Make render functionality more easy and simple to use

Make render functionality more easy and simple to use

For example, add a lots of render templates for users to select, just like Solidworks. or provide a simple render process guide template, just like Mechanica, user can add actions step by step.

I develop (in my job) a physical rendering system integrated in Wildfire & Creo (with Pro/TOOLKIT) for photometric and colorimetric calculation and I agree with you !

In the Creo rendering system, the optical properties are very hard to define for novice, and the optical material library is nearly empty. In addition, the API is very closed for accessing the optical parameters and the rendering process...

Woudl be nice if Creo Rendering can have more ARX material integrated.Creo ARX materials

That is the reason we support Keyshot and many people get it super easy.

I think there is a big big change to this in the pipeline, but this is simply the rumor mill and I don't consider myself in the know.

good news from PTC ,  Keyshot will be added into Creo 4.0 as one extension.

PTC introduced Render Studio in Creo 4.0 which is powered by Keyshot.  This provided users with a 'world-class' rendering engine in Creo and offers real-time ray tracing and improved quality over its predecessor.

While Creo does not have a specific process guide to aid in setting up renderings, Render Studio makes it very easy to apply appearances, change scenes/lights/environment and capture the desired rendering.  In fact new functionality has been introduced in recent releases to define the floor plane, leverage additional cores, change the rendering settings and output the final rendering.

Users can also create their own scenes with defined lights, HDRI images and environment settings.  This can also be utilized in other modes in Creo to output rendered movies, such as Design Animation and Mechanism.  With these available scenes or newly created scenes, users can simply apply them to their existing models without the need to start from scratch every time.

While the idea of a Process Guide seems reasonable, I would prefer to improve the overall usability of our Appearances and Scenes to make the process a lot easier.  This is a plan for a future release.
