As of today you have the ability to set the default memory allocation set the config.pro option sim_solver_memory_allocation to the desired value - with the limitation of maximum value to16384 MB.
as today models become more complicated ( lattice, generative design geometry etc ) there is a need to remove this limitation in order to improve performance & calculation time.
