We would like to measure the distance between exploded components/models using DISTANCE. ANGLE works fine, DISTANCE gives the distance from the unexploded state, even though the model is exploded.

Personally I cannot believe this is not a bug.
If the user is measuring with the model in exploded state, then of course the user expects the measurement to be the distance in that exploded state and not in some other state which is not visible on the screen.

No functionality exists to merge ideas, but we can mark one as a duplicate and point to the first Product Idea if it matches the exact use case provided. Joseph Wagh - can you review the link provided by Jari Elomaa to see if this meets your requirements?
Yeah, it seems OK. My description talks about how one functionality of measurement works, but the other doesn't.
