Measuring XYZ picks and sending to an ASCII text file.

Measuring XYZ picks and sending to an ASCII text file.

In past releases, we used the Measure Distance command to measure the XYZ position of points relative to a coordinate system.  These measurements were written to the trail file, where we copied them quickly into an ASCII text file.  As of Creo Parametric 2.0, this is no longer possible.

We want a quick way to capture 20-50 screen picks and/or geometry selections into XYZ ASCII reports.  Please either return the prior functionality or provide another way to quickly capture this information.  Creo 2.0 allows only one point at a time.

We noticed another enhancement request Product Idea related to a point table.  This may serve the same purpose.

We use the XYZ locations for CNC processing for milling, measuring, etc.

This is something that is very easy to execute with a simple Pro/Web.Link script. The API references actually call out a script for measuring and writing out points on a drawing as well.
