Mesh Should be displayed in Creo 2.0 Simulate.

Mesh Should be displayed in Creo 2.0 Simulate.

We need Mesh should be displayed in the Creo 2.0 Simulate as our requirement is to apply the Loads on an Node of a Mesh.

Right now we're applying the loads on an Datum point, But Datum Point doesn't move along with the Node of a Mesh.

Almost all the Analysis Solutions is offering this Option, I don't know why PTC's Solutions doesn't have this Option.

When you add a load on a datum point, Mechanica add a node in the mesh to apply this load.

So, are you sure that the load isn't moving with this mesh node ?

In a static analysis with large deformation nonlinearity run on WF5, it does.

I never heared and I don't know that the Mechanica will create a Node at the Datum Point used for applying Loads.

Are you sure that in all types of Analysis, Mechanica can create Node at the Datum Point used for applying Loads?

But anyhow our customer is specifically asking to apply the loads on the Nodes of the Mesh only, not to create the Datum Point to apply the Loads.

Hi Niranjan,

From my experience with Mechanica over at least a decade it has always been focused on the original geometry from ProE and that geometry such as Datum Points on a surface define how the mesh is generated in the first place.  When you move the Datum Points the mesh regenerates so that the point is still on a Node.  In the integral mode you never even see the mesh but the output will show results at these points.

If you are starting from the pure analysis side I can see how you might find this frustrating but coming from the modelling side it has never been an issue for me; if I need results at a location I add a datum Point on the surface.

Regards, Brent
