ModelCHECK for checking of all family table instances

ModelCHECK for checking of all family table instances

We would like to have a configuration option in ModelCHECK for checking of all family table instances when the generic is checked and when an instance is found in an assembly. This has to be a complete check including all checks that ModelCHECK is set up to preform.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

This is applicable for the following two use cases:

1. When running ModelCHECK on a generic part. A complete check on all family table instances should be preformed.

2. When running ModelCHECK on an assembly containing a part instance. A complete check on the parts generic and all family table instances should be preformed.

Good morning

it's a very good improvment, expecial for the controll of the parameter. I hope will be soon add in Creo

#1 can be done. In your modelcheck config_init.mc file: #Verifies family table instances in MC Regen, and propagate mc parameters (Critical for FT Parts & Assemblies) MC_VERIFY_INST_POST YN Y # Verifies family table instances (Critical for FT Assemblies) MCREGEN_VERIFY_FT_INSTS YN Y Though I'd be cautious about setting it globally, if someone performs a modelcheck regen all levels on a design assembly it can pull every family table into a workspace and modify them. I want to say this came out Creo 2.0 M120+. Though by #2 it sounds like you want this functionality. I'd warn against it for library type components. Typically you wouldn't need to modelcheck all the components separately from the assembly unless you were designing them together like an AFX assembly. Personally I keep the MCREGEN_VERIFY_FT_INSTS commented out except for my profile only because I was doing a lot of fixes to our library family table parts. We typically avoid family tables for designed components unless necessary.
