More than 31 characters for filename

Creo Parametric does not allow more than 31 characters for its filename (prt, asm) now.

I want to use much more characters because I want to add some information like a project name, a person name, updated date and so on.

So I want PTC to support more than 31 characters for the filename in Creo.

I cannot save a model with a long filename in Creo4(F000).

Also, PTC support person said they did not support long file names yet.

Stephen,  the future isn't here yet, that is why it hasn't been implemented...

While there at it, perhaps they could allow spaces in file names too. Who's using Unix anymore..?

Someone said it was planned for Creo 4 but I haven't loaded 4 yet.

I checked, but spaces are not allowed in Creo4(F000).

This makes it somewhat misleading because I bet that idea would be closer to the top of ideas if people could still vote on it.

I put 'before I retire' since I turn 65 on the 19th...but no plans to retire just yet.

Maybe I'll wait until PTC gives us longer file names with special characters and spaces!
