Move an assenbly feature into a part.

Move an assenbly feature into a part.

I sometimes create features into wrong place. And I notice about that after creating a lot of external references. If I can move them easily from an assembly to a part, my mental damage will  be reduced.

but you will possibly create plenty of external referenes by this action, which will make a mess in PDM system. Just in case you use references from A, create feature in A and then move it to B part.

2 senarios where I would like also like this feature:

  1. The references I created are only tied to the component so it could be created in either part or assembly. There are advantages to having all the sketches in the asm and other advantages to have all the sketches in a part.
  2. I need component feature to be tied to asm features (for example, I accidently create a datum curve in the assembly when I need to sweep a wire/tube, which cannot be solid in an assembly).

We really should be able to go back and forth between draging sketches/curves (and even features) into components or back into the assembly.
