Naming convention for Model Manager\Task Agent generated PDF's (11508020)

Currently PDF's that are created\exported directly from MM use the following naming convention:-

PTN-13038-01-A-work-DRAWING_2D-aip_dwg_annotation-pdf

NAME – Version – state – Class - aip_dwg_annotation-pdf

is it possible to configure this the naming convention via XML?

Hi Barry,

I think what you're looking for is in wmconf.xml.

Search for <WebServices>, <MimeTypeMap> and let pay attention to the <DefaultNameFormat> tag. This tag defines the default name format for related files and your PDF. It's defined as

%DocumentObjName%-%DocumentClassName%-%ParentFileBaseName%%FileExtension%.

You may use your own <NameFormat> with your own name components (ex: %Name%, %DB_UNIQUE_ID_STRING%, or whatever other attribute available at evaluation time).

But beware about uniqueness name. Including %DocumentClassName% may differentiate a 2D PDF from a 3D PDF, etc.
