It is helpful to offer different source directories for fonts used in 3D sketches and drawings.

  • Customer uses fonts in the drawing which should allow a export to neutral 2D formats (IGES,STEP, DXF, DWG, PDF, …) without getting unreadable, character replaced or stretched.
  • TrueType fonts are needed on the other hand to create e.g. engraving, cut outs or type/name plates in the 3D sketch but they should not be used as drawing text, note or displayed parameter.

We create our own TruType fonts and use them in drawing mode & part mode.I would NOT want them to only be available for sketches.

But I really do. It is different what you can really read in a drawing plot
