Only one scale factor for every Reps

Only one scale factor for every Reps

I'm the office manager of a 8 people in the Mechanical Departement of an industry that produces Automated Warehouse for pharmacies.
We are using Creo 8.0.4

I need to have two different Reps in the same sheet of a drawing.
I start with the Master Rep and a certain scale of the drawing; when I change Rep and I choose other one the scale of the new one is different from the first Master Rep.

I suggest a new Creo's option to have only one scale factor in a drawing when you add a new model/part representation.

Thanks
Bye

  1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders.

I'm working in the metal mechanic sector in the North of Italy in a company that counts 60 people and 20 coworkers in Italy.
I'm the office manager of a 8 people in the Mechanical Departement.
We sell automatized wharehouses and transport systems to pharmacies, hospitals and dealers.

  2. What product & version are you currently running?
We are using Creo 8.0.4 with Windchill.

  3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.

We often utilize plastic components made with polyethylene sheets and panels in dibond.
To make their drawings we use sheet metal module within Creo.
We need to put on the drawing both normal views both unbended views.
We manage this situation inserting two representations of the model: the master rep and the unbended rep. So we have two reps in the same sheet of drawing.
But when we insert the second representation, the scale is different from the first one representations and we must change it always whit the risk of forget it.

  4. What is the use case for your organization?
Our use case is to make machine's external and internal carters and components for conveyor belts.

  5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
It represents a sensible increment of velocity in our drawings issue process because we make a lot of pieces customized for each machine. Example: for a medium machine we make around 120 customized pieces amoung panel and plastics.
