Opening a model from a drawing view

Opening a model from a drawing view

Hello,

I'd like to have an option in Creo 2.0 M140 to open a model directly from a drawing view. There's a possibility to display a model in a drawing view, but if you select a model in a view and use RMB then you can only select Show Model Annotation or Set/Add Drawing Model.

At least it would be really helpful to show a selected model in Model Tree (the same functionality as in Assembly environment). Then you can easily identify which model is used.

Thank you.

Tomas

I don't think PTC will be adding any functionality to Creo 2!

Your Creo 3 thread on the same subject has been answered.

To pull info from the other thread, the best approach is to make a mapkey to use having selected a view that does

RMB > Use Model In Tree [note this command exists as of Creo 2 M150]

pick the top node in the model tree ('node0')

RMB > Open in the model tree
