Option for hiding hatching in sketched curves in 3d

Option for hiding hatching in sketched curves in 3d

Sketched curves with hatches are useful in 2d (drawings) but slow down the performance in large assemblies (3d).

There is an option to hide those curves, but that does not affect the hatching (see screenshots).

So what you get is a useless view with poor performance.

Since there is already a function that pretty much provides this function ("Temporary shade") it would be nice to

have an option to fix this behaviour. "Temporary shade" has to be keyed in over and over again.

You can put curves into a layer and hide this layer.

Problem statement:
1) It is not possible to select specific Hatches using "xsection" filter in Layout context.

2) It is impossible to add these sketched datum curves to Layer to hide them.
Any attempt at selecting shows Blanked Display components highlight.

Hi,

that's true and I instructed my users to do so from now on. But this does not help with the data that already exists like that.

Our top level assemblies have up to 13 levels and up to 3000 objects. And unfortunately it is not possible to select hatches via an rule neither. So reworking this stuff is rather laborious.
