When an IDF or IDX is used with Collaboration from the ECAD team, and NO mapping file is setup; creo defaults to looking for a PART with the same name in the IDF or IDX; not an Assembly. The issue is that, if an Assembly does exist, there is a high probability that the part is inside the assembly with added information in the assembly as well. By pulling the part in, you loose all of the information in the assembly.
