When setting a blend section to tangent, you currently have to select the tangent surface for every desired edge, one by one. There needs to be an option to select the entire loop of adjacent surfaces.
For reference, this is the current method of setting all edges to tangent (I know, in this case I could just use Normal, but I'm not making a new set of images!):
