PTC CREO SIMULATE UNITS

PTC CREO SIMULATE UNITS

Hello all and good morning,

I'm using "PTC Creo Simulate" from 6-7 years. And for loads units I have typically used Newton (N) or Kg. Ever I used the unit Tonnes (Ton).

Some my customers always use a unit of Ton.

But today Further to a assessment of a customer, I discovered that the Ton unit, not international, is "American short ton".

That means that to change:

1 ton (short ton American) 8.8964e + 3 = Newtons

This is a problem that the value is less than 10e + 3 N

If higher, the difference would be envisaged as a safety margin.

But to be lower, depending on whether they are 10, 20, 5 or 30 tons, the differential increases considerably.

Please I think it would be important to add international unit tonnes

Thanks for all and BR,
