Parameterize Assy Connection constraints

Parameterize Assy Connection constraints

Background details:

1. working in the Vehicle industry, I'm a CAD Admin, stakeholders: our mechanical designers.

2. Working with Creo 8.0.1.0

Problem Description:

3. In PIN connection in an assembly ("ASSY1", as an example), It is not possible to use 'enable regeneration value' as a parameter, so when assembling this ASSY1 assembly as flexible/var item - I will be able to decide whether this parameter is enabled or not.

Furthermore, it would be fantastic if all other fields will also be parameterized externally - to be used when this kind of assembly is assembled as flexible/var item.

5. Solving this issue will be very beneficial and help us avoid duplicating same assemblies over and over again with different rotation axis properties for each occurrence in a top-level assembly.

Best Regards to all!

I previously opened a CS16474291 regarding this issue and was answered that it is not currently possible.

So, this new enhancement request/idea is opened to help upvote it for later application in Creo upcoming versions.

Hello @MichaelToledano, this is a very good idea. Perhaps it could let us control mechanism assemblies faster by change those parameters than by dimensions.

Additionally, we lose flexibility and mechanism movement when storing creo data into neutral data formats. Could be a chance for information enrichment as well.

Thanks and best regards!
