Pattern Count Parameter

There should be access to the actual count of a patterns

 

.  I deal mostly with hole patterns so my references will directed towards holes, but should be carried out for all patterns.

EX.  You pattern a hole but suppress some of them.  The correct count can be found in a hole note if its a standard hole.  Since this is already being created the user should be able to access it.

As mentioned, the above only works for standard holes and you have to have the hole note set to show the pattern count.

Nope, there is no change for simple holes in Creo Parametric 8.0.  There is no parameter inside the hole feature indicating pattern quantity, and the pattern dimension inside the pattern feature includes excluded pattern locations making the total quantity incorrect.

That is a hard one to figure out.

Your hole pattern has 7 holes. Suppressing a hole after it is created has not changed the pattern that created the holes.

We have a ModelCheck for suppressed features and this would cause a warning against the part.

The hole was not suppressed after it was created.  Two of the pattern members were simply 'turned off' during creation of the pattern.
