Please bring back the ability to work in multiple workspace sessions

Please bring back the ability to work in multiple workspace sessions

Prior to Creo Parametric 3.0 upgrade users could work in multiple workspace sessions (as long as there was enough floating licenses). Unfortunately, opening a new workspace session of Creo Parametric 3.0 now closes all other running sessions workspaces.

This is a rather significant inconvenience for us as we always have multiple projects (requiring multiple active workspaces). This functionality is important enough that we've always paid for extra licenses allowing us to do this. Needless to say, our users and management are not happy about finding this out after we upgraded to the new software only to take a huge loss in productivity.

Please, please, please bring this back.

Thank you for any consideration,

There is a possible workaround/solution, see https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS202061

what are the CON's of having two cache's?  (what happens with items that don't get "synced")

Hello,

For me, the workaround is not 100% acceptable:all local modified data can't be open in case of different cache folders.

We use it for consultation only.

If you want to open modified data from different WS in this case, data have to be check-in or upload.

Else you must manage the data modifications regarding the Creo session you use...this is not really possible.

Best regards.
