It would be very useful if we could have a simple simulation module in CREO which can be used for schematic simulation of various processes to its predefined paths.
If we are making some piping is proe we can easily define the flow direction, however, at a time its very difficult to describe the full process at once to anyone who is not very familiar to it. If there has some module where we could have select the pipe lines or sketched curves and define some property like flow direction and arrow colors then obviously there could be a tool for simulation where the arrows will move along the predefined curves or paths it would be very helpful. In these case, it is not necessary to simulate the flow by any finite element analysis. It would be only to simulate the flow as per predefined path by which observation can be much better.
My company deals with Heat-Exchangers & Condensers which are used in Power plants. We have many piping where the flows are in vapour and liquid stage. Also in a power plant there are many pipelines which carry fluids at different phases and also different direction. If we can have flow simulation with different colors respective to fluid phases then it is obvious the understanding to it would be much better. Even we can make animation video where the complete running process can be shown.
During phase transformation of liquid may be in tubes or heat exchangers it is very difficult to visualize what actually is happening in which location. It is obvious to determine or simulate actual condition Computational Fluid analysis is required however with the help of this simple predefined animation, designer can show own idea. Also if there is such requirement of computation fluid analysis in that case, we can easily use mechanica or other Computation fluid analysis software to check whether the condition is exactly same with our predefined idea or not.
I have mentioned the example only for piping module however this predefined flow simulation can be used for cabling(for electrical stimulation), In assembly process (without creating complex mechanism just to show the process directions and flow), Heat flow etc.
