It used to be like this in previous versions of Pro Engineer: in the "file/open" dialog box the preview window expanded to the right of the file list. This was very useful especially on 16:9 and 16:10 monitors since you had a large preview area and a large file list area. Now the preview pane is on the bottom of the window, thus cutting in half the useful space for the  file list, and the preview itself is a narrow "strip". There should be an option to chose whether we want the preview on bottom or on the right.
