In the documentation on the ProServerMultiobjectsCheckout() function it says that the checkout (download) rules are processed based on the Windchill Workspace configuration specification. This is set in preferences either globally or by the user in Windchill.
When the configuration specification is set to AS_STORED and there is only one ASSEMBLY model passed to the function one would expect the as-stored configuration of the components to be returned to the workspace the same as it does when the Windchill browser does. This is not the case. The function returns only the latest configuration.
A case was filed with PTC and the resolution was that this is how the function works. It will not return an as-stored configuration. The SPR is going to change the documentation rather than change the function.
This request is to have the ProServerMultiobjectsCheckout() function repaired so that it performs as described in the documentation. It should honor the configuration of the system or the checkout options (optional argument to the function) should be modified to include and honor the as-stored checkout/download to a workspace.
