Currently flexible components can only be regenerated on specific positions but not during a mechanism animation. The desired functionality is to regenerate the shape of the flexible components at each frame of the animation sequence. This functionality exists in Solidworks & NX.
I have been waiting for this functionality for YEARS... Seems like such a simple thing to do: provide an option that, when selected, regenerates the model at each frame.
This would be amazing to add. We have this issue with cables running with mechanism components that wont update. I would think this would be super easy to implement where there is a checkbox to simply regenerate the model between every frame and Creo simply triggers a regen before capturing the frame in the background. Maybe a config option like animation_regenerate_between_frames or something. Please add this for sure.
