Remove or Clarify Warning "Drawing is more recent than the model"

Remove or Clarify Warning "Drawing is more recent than the model"

1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders.
Aerospace industry, but this idea is independent.

Stakeholders are Engineers as well as those who validate the Engineering content

2. What version of Creo Parametric are you currently running?
4.0

3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.
There is a know warning message "Warning: Drawing is more recent than the model" that occurs when a drawing was updated without updating the model. 25% of our drawings are still content within the drawing file (text, tables, parameters, ... ). To eliminate this message you have to also check out and update the model despite no changes to the actual model design. Updating both can cause perceived changes to the design and require further rechecks of "modified" items.

4. What is the use case for your organization?
Controversial idea: I'd like to get rid of this warning, drawings are typically downstream of models not the other way around. A model should only change if there is a change that affects the model.

Easier to accept idea: Clarify this warning and only have it flag when there is an actual need to update the model based on a drawing change. Changing a text note on the face of the drawing shouldn't cause this warning.

5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
Reduced modification of models to clear this warning which would increase storage space in Windchill and reduce validation time of these items modified with no changes.
