There should be a way to control all of the settings in the picture below so that they don't need to be changed every time. With the new GPU rendering there is no reason not to turn up the quality levels.
Also my personal box to stand on, CAD renders should NEVER default to jpgs. PNG with alpha transparency is far and wide a better format for shaded renders.
I understand that I could create a mapkey to set all of these settings each time and I likely will, but it would be nice to just be able to control them like you can with the default scene config (default_scene_filename)
