Saving a Assembly Backup with child parts and related drawings

Saving a Assembly Backup with child parts and related drawings

At present we are unable to Save a backup of an assembly containing Many sub assemblies and child parts into a new folder along with the drawing files without altering the Model / Drawing names.

This improvement will be helpful to many of the Creo Lovers.

Use SAVE AS - SAVE A BACKUP will save all the files without filename changes.

And add an option to keep the version number extension during this process. @ StephenWilliams : the way I understand Balakrishnan message is exactly the opposite : He doesn't want to change the names and so I do. That is usefull when you want to work on a project from differents places which don't use a PLM.

We have workaround for this. Save a copy twice. For first copy add a suffix. For the second copy remove the suffix.

In other words, the first time you do the Save As, check the box for Use a Template and add a suffix onto the name. The second time you save as check the box for Use a Template again and remove the suffix you added. For example the first time you save the templates fields would be such as *=*a The second time *a=*.
