There are situations where Creo will automatically change input fields within SEARCH. This will lead the user to believe that the search results displayed are for the input that they specified, without realizing that it is for the changed value. This has drastic consequences. Input fields should never change. One specific example is:

Searching for a dimension in an assembly will have the dimensional VALUE field in the EXPRESSION rule change unwillingly when checking/unchecking "Include submodels" checkbox.
